Helen V. Yunker

Yunker, Helen PRE-NEEDHelen V. Yunker, lifelong resident of Terre Haute Indiana, and faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church, entered into eternal rest on September 5th 2013 in Marshall IL, and went to meet her blessed Jesus face to face.  She was born Helen Virginia Valentine December 13, 1919, to Anthony Valentine Jr. and Eva Bishop Valentine, in Terre Haute IN.  Helen attended Wiley High School and graduated from Indiana State Teachers College in 1941, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.  She began teaching Music and Home Economics, and in August of 1942 she married Philip A. Yunker, also of Terre Haute.  They lived in Terre Haute at 3319 Oak St, and raised three children: Philip, David, and Sharon.  After the children were in school, Helen returned to Teaching and received her Master’s from Indiana State University.  Helen taught at Riley School, in Terre Haute Schools, and she was a reading consultant for Terre Haute Schools.  Helen remained active in Alpha Delta Kappa Education fraternity where she was a past president.  She was also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, and an active member of the Philanthropic Educators Organization Sisterhood.  Helen loved Centenary and was active in church leadership and United Methodist Women for many years, and she was a faithful member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Philip.  Helen is survived by her Brother Robert I. Valentine of Champaign Il, 95, who died the following day; her son Philip L. Yunker and wife Lois of Vashon Island, WA; her son Rev. David A. Yunker and wife Beverley of Seagoville, TX; and her daughter Sharron L. Kerr and husband Ed of Marshall, IL.  Helen is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Services are pending and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be sent to Centenary United Methodist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory.


Evelyn Nichols Krockenberger

krockenberger, evelyn photoEvelyn A. Krockenberger, 91, of Terre Haute, fell asleep on September 9, 2013 at Peddle Park and awoke in Heaven. She was greeted there by Jesus, her husband Walter, son Don, and old friends and family who had gone before. Evelyn was born on April 12, 1922 in Terre Haute to Marion Edgar and Sarah Emma Inman. She married Ezra Nichols in 1939 and they had two sons, Wayne and Donald Nichols. She worked as a telephone operator long and hard while rearing her sons. She retired after 35 years of service. Later in life she met and married Walter Krockenberger, a super nice man, they only had 3 years together before he passed away, but they were the happiest years of her life. Evelyn loved music and flowers. Many times she would work from early morning to late evening in her flower beds. She promised her flowers that if they would bloom pretty, she would take them to church, and that she did, 2 bouquets every Sunday. Evelyn played piano at her church for years. She helped form an orchestra at 10th and Hulman Wesleyan Church and it lasted for many years. She also had a kitchen band that played in many local nursing homes each month. She sang with the Sweet Adeline’s Choir for several years as well. More recently she played piano on Monday nights for a sing-a-long at Peddle Park. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Walter, sisters Violet Inman, Blanche Inman, and Beulah Barbee, brother John Inman, and son Don Nichols. She is survived by her brother, George Inman, son Wayne Nichols and wife Cindy, daughter-in-law, Mary Nichols, sister-in-law, Mary Inman, grandchildren Bob Nichols and wife Joyce, Lynn Patterson, Leah Campbell and husband Wes, and Sara Bateman and husband Mark, nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two very special friends, Frances Sanders and Madonna Nichols. Visitation will be Thursday September 12, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr., with funeral services on Friday September 13, 2013 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Harvey Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Peter Eugene Perdoue, 40, of Terre Haute passed away on September 11, 2013 in his residence.  He was born on November 11, 1972 to Edward Perdoue and Alma Gene (Deckdebrun) Perdoue. Peter is survived by his wife Shelly Perdoue; sons Aidan Perdoue and Adam Perdoue; daughters Ainsley Perdoue and Addison Perdoue.  He is preceded in death by his parents. The family has entrusted DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, with making arrangements.

Philip L. Wilson, 76, of Terre Haute passed away on September 12, 2013 at 4:45p.m.  He was born on May 21, 1937 to Elza Wilson and Mary (Price) Wilson.

He is survived by his son Damon Wilson, and his wife Lori; daughter Tracy Duling; grandchildren Joshua Duling (Ronna), Justin Duling (Destiny), Cameron Wilson, and Bryson Wilson; great grandchildren Maliki Duling, Kenyen Duling, Ariana Duling, Bryler Duling, and Kiera Duling; brother Wayne Wilson; sisters Melba Sutliff and Donna Kay Friend; several nieces and nephews; and faithful companion and grand dog Sister Girl.  Phillip was preceded in death by his wife Donna R. (Wycoff) Wilson in 2011; son Danny Wilson; and his parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday September 16, 2013 at 3:00p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from noon until service time. Minister Kimberley Hughley, his niece, will be officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow services.

Hannah Gean Crist

Crist, Hannah

Hannah Gean Crist, 15, of Terre Haute passed away on September 13, 2013.  She was born on July 19, 1998 to Adam Crist and Christina (Riddle) Crist. She attended Terre Haute South Vigo High School.  There she was a member of the soccer team. She attended Maryland Community Church and Central Christian Church.  She was a member of the Central Christian Youth Group.   Hannah enjoyed art and fashion.  She was known for her unique fashion sense, her beautiful eyes, and her smile.

 

Hannah is survived by her parents; sister Sophia Lauren Crist; grandparents Frank and Janet Volkers, Frank and Sharon Crist, Jack Riddle, Linda Gilmore, and Bob Gilmore; great grandparents Clara Gilbert and Joseph Gilbert; aunts and uncles Lauren Foster (Eric), Kevin Crist (Kristen), Kyle Volkers (Kristen), Frank Volkers (Kerry) Jack Riddle (Kelly); numerous beloved cousins; and best friend Ivy Wrin and her second family , the Wrin family, Chris, Connie, Coti, Scout, and Graham.  She was preceded in death by her uncle Frank Bradley Crist.

 

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday September 19, 2013 in Maryland Community Church, 4700 S State Road 46, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Scot Longyear, Rev. Rebecca Zelensky, and Major Becky Stern will be officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 4:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00a.m. until service time.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the Salvation Army.  “You were always my favorite person.” – Love your Dad

Patricia June Steed, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away on September 15, 2013 at 1:00a.m. in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.  She was born on October 19, 1932 to Audra Cooper and Mary (Stone) Cooper in Linton, IN.  Patricia was a member of Sacred Heart Church.  She also enjoyed playing bingo.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 41 years Paul J. Steed; daughters Caryn Clampitt, her husband Jim, Glenna Peters, and her husband Don; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother Virgil Cooper, his wife Doreen; sisters Janet Richey and Judy Jones; sister-in-law Betty Steed of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday September 20, 2013 at 2:00p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Avenue. Father Ed Goldbach will be officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00a.m. until service time.

Michael L. Kearschner, age 63 of Brazil, IN passed away on Sept.16, 2013 at his residence.  He was born on December 27, 1949 to Leroy and Edith (Swalls) Kearschner.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife Linda; Mother, Edith; His Children; Adrian (Steve) Rowe, Mike Kearschner, and Cindy Davidson;

His grandchildren, Bailey, Alex, and Keyton;  and sister Vernice (John) Sinclair.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda (VanEs) Kearschner and his father Leroy.

Mike was also a dear brother, fond uncle, cousin and friend to many.

 

Mike was a Christian man, proud member of the 101st Airborne and a Vietnam Veteran, belonged to the Disabled American Veterans, and was a NRA life member, animal lover, avid outdoorsman, and a motorcycle and car enthusiast. 

 

Friends may call on Friday at 5 p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Home Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash.  Family and friends will give a eulogy at 7 p.m. and the Wabash Valley Veterans Honor Guard will conduct a memorial immediately prior to the memorial. Delmar L. Evans, Sr., 80, of Bedford & formerly of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:55 AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 in Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.  He was born in Washington, IN on January 20, 1930 to Floyd Evans and Martha Russell Evans.  Delmar was an Army Veteran and a retired Farmer and Mechanic.  He is survived by three children;  Pamela Wampler & husband Ron of Bloomington, IN, Daniel Evans of Bloomington, IN, and Delmar Evans, Jr. & wife Janene of Terre Haute, and a step-daughter, Karen Owen & husband Danny. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Deidre Evans, Belinda Freeman & husband Jonathan, Ryan Evans, and Matthew Evans, and step-grandchildren; David Owen & wife Lisa, Chuck Owen & wife Amanda, and Courtney Owen.  Other survivors include his great grandchildren;  Darren Suits, Walter Howell, Jr., Devan Freeman, and Elyse Freeman and two sisters, Wilma Dixon of Brush, CO, and Margie Bateman of Washington, IN.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma Jean Evans, and siblings William R. Evans, Giles Evans, Floyd Evans, Pete Evans, Clarence Evans, Alma Evans, Ruth Lashley, Clara Evans, and Lillian Jacobs.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been scheduled.  Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory.

John Patrick Evans (K9ITK), 65 of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:04 AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 in Union Hospital.  He was born in Mattoon, IL on September 28, 1947 to William Glenn Elson and Mary Ellen Evans.  He was a retired Teamster from Local # 135 & Chesty Foods, was a United States Army Veteran & enjoyed being an amateur radio operator.  He is survived by his daughter, Diana Heath, one brother, Glenn William Elson, and two sisters, Sandra Tomlinson and Kathy Whitecotten.  Also surviving is his granddaughter, Alisha Ann Heath, as well as his dog Pepper.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna Louise Allen Evans—who died in 2002, and a sister, Sherry Lynn Gorder—who died in 1998.  Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM, with Pastor David Deal officiating.  Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.

Coralie Mae McKimmy 86, passed away at 5:45 A.M. Thursday, September 19,2013, at West ridge Health Care Center.  She was born October 23, 1926, in Terre Haute, to Floyd Johnson and Ozelma Johnson. She worked at S.S.Kresge, The Goody Shoppe, and MCL during her career.  She was an avid walker and you could often see her walking to her favorite places to eat, Steak & Shake and Fazoli’s , where she became close friends with many of the employees.  She loved to watch NASCAR racing.  Jimmy Johnson # 48, was her favorite driver and she watched every race he drove in.

She is survived by one son, Emery McKimmy and his wife Norma of Overland Park, Kansas ; five grandchildren, Stephanie Vicars, Douglas McKimmy ,Stephen McKimmy, Jason Lamb and Deborha “Sam” Baez ; five great-grandchildren, Austin Vicars , Kaylah Vicars, Anastasia “Anna” Baez, Mayuko “Nonie” Lamb and Benjiro “Benj” Lamb. One brother, Floyd Johnson of Terre Haute; and two sisters, Betty McKimmy and Mary Butt and her husband Don, of Terre Haute.

 She was preceded in death by her children, Stephen Allen McKimmy and Mary Elizabeth McKimmy ;  two sisters, Nancy Ann Johnson; and  Ada Louise Silvers ; one brother, David Earl Johnson; her Parents, Floyd Johnson, and Ozelma Johnson; and her best friend, Betty Jean Guess.

Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor James Haddix officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.

Stephenson Passen (Stevie), 66, of Sullivan, also formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on October 25, 2013.  He was born on January 12, 1947 to George and Irmogene Ruth (Keltz) Passen.  He was a dedicated truck driver for 30 years.  He loved old cars.  Stevie has three children that he loved dearly, Naellean Milner, her husband Greg of Terre Haute, George Reed of Prairie ton, Joe Reed, and his wife Valarie of Sullivan; two grandsons; five granddaughters; sisters Mickey Smith of Indianapolis, Naellean Harlan of Terre Haute, Cheareall Wise of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son Karl Stephenson Passen Jr.; brothers George Eschol Passen and Francis Marion Passen.  Services are private.  Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Wilberta Ruth Norris, 78, of Terre Haute passed away on November 4, 2013 at 5:00 a.m. in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute, on February 1, 1935 to Arthur Fagg and Dorothy (Biggs) Fagg. Wilberta was a member of United Brethren Tabernacle Church for over 30 years, where she participated in the Ladies Circle. Wilberta worked at Traverse Grocery Store for over 25 years, also she worked at Hills Department Store and retired from there in 1992.

Wilberta was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years Herman Warren Norris; sons Tim Norris, his wife Cathy, Jerry Norris, his wife Sharon, Terry Norris, his wife Jana, all of Terre Haute, Rick Norris, and his wife Terri of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters Brenda Shake, her husband Everett, and Marty Norris-Sandberg , all of Terre Haute; grandchildren Jonathon Norris, Teresa Dean, Dusty Norris, TJ Norris, Christie Jo Wright, Jared Norris, Bradley Sandberg, Tyler Sandberg, Tasha Baker, and Jordan Shake; 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Rick Swan will be officiating.  Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Drew D. Diel, Sr., 65  passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Munroe Regional Hospital at 9:09 p.m. in Ocala,  Florida.   He was born April 21, 1948 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Max L. Diel and Roberta (Bertie) Cesinger Diel of Terre Haute, Indiana.  Drew owned and operated a family owned trucking company for 43 years and was previously a farmer in Riley, Indiana and Weirsdale, Florida.  He was a member of American Legion Post 328 of Riley, IN, the American Trucking Association, OOIDA, and the NRA.  He is survived by his wife Nancy for 47 years.  He is also survived by son Drew Diel Jr., his wife Tracy; daughter, Jody Rasnick and her husband Rick and his youngest son Chad Diel and wife Jennifer.  He has five grandchildren Haley and Thomas Rasnick, Andrew, Abby, and Tyler Diel; brother in-law, Alan Smith; sister in-law, Linda Smith of Riley, and Kelly Davis of Terre Haute; two nephews, Ryan and Kip Smith; four aunts, an uncle and many cousins.   A viewing will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at DeBaun Funeral Home, 85 E. Springhill Dr., Terre Haute, IN 47802.  A Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 1:30PM at the same facility with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. stuthersJeffrey Alan Stuthers “Jeff”, 48, of Paris, IL, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on November 4, 2013 in his residence. He was born in San Francisco, CA on July 8, 1965 to Doris Faye (Gillum) Stuthers. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a member of the NRA.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his sons Brandon Stuthers, Ryan Stuthers, their mother Julie Stuthers; son Michael Stuthers; brothers Jerry Stuthers and his wife Shelly, Jim Stuthers and his wife Pam; several close aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Avenue. Pastor Tim Long will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until 3:00 p.m. In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation will take place after services.


Jeffrey Sutherland

sutherland, jeff photoJeffrey L. Sutherland passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 6 at the age of 60. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmencita (“Mimi”) of 37 years and his children Stephen (Amy) Sutherland and Natalie (Brian) Currin. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Maia, caring brother to Steve (Debbie) and Yvonne (George) Creekbaum and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was born March 5, 1953 in Terre Haute to Dolores (Eck) and the late Jack Sutherland. Jeff and family moved to Saigon, Vietnam in 1964 and Taipei,Taiwan in 1965. While in Taipei, he attended the Taipei American School where he met lifelong friends. Jeff eventually moved back to the Midwest and graduated from Garfield High School in 1971. He went on to receive his B.A. in Business Administration from Indiana State University. Jeff and Mimi were married on September 4, 1976 at St. Mary’s of the Woods College whereafter they spent some time living and working in Cebu City, Philippines with Mimi and her family. They returned to the U.S. where he spent most of his professional career working for Dun & Bradstreet in Allentown, PA.
Jeff loved spending time with family, friends, traveling and gardening. He especially loved every moment with his granddaughter. He was a good friend to all,his generosity, kindness and fun-loving spirit touched all who met him. We mourn the space he leaves in our hearts but celebrate the difference he made in our lives.
A special thanks to everyone at Hux Cancer Center and the Oncology Department at Union Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Debaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue from 5-8 pm on Friday. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph University Parish, 113 South 5th St on Saturday at 11:00 am officiated by Father Alfredo (“Alfie”) Africa, MSP. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in Casey, IL with a committal service by Rick May.

Wilbur Ault

ault, wilbur photoWilbur Leon Ault, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, after a brief illness requiring

a hospital stay and transfer to Davis Gardens Continuing Care Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was

born on September 13, 1915, in Greene County, east of Newberry, Indiana, the son of Fredrick and Ellen

(Reed) Ault.

In 1933, he graduated from Newberry High School. He married Versie Jolliff on January 18, 1942.

He served in the United States Army. During World War II he was in the European Theatre in General

George Patton’s 4th Armored Division.

He retired from Crane Naval Ammunition Depot (now known as NSWC), having worked there over 30

years. During retirement years, Wilbur and Versie moved from the Elnora, Indiana vicinity to Terre

Haute. They celebrated their 70th Anniversary in January 2012. Versie preceded him in death on

August 10, 2012.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Harold Wessel of Greensburg, Indiana; four

grandchildren, Allen (Stacy) Wessel, Andrea (Vi-En) Choong, Sara (Chris) Hengel, and Tonya Wessel; five

great-grandchildren, AJ and Adelaide Wessel and Cameron, Kailee and Tristan Choong; and several

nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Versie, he was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and sisters-in-law,

Emil (Lillian) Ault, Hilbert (Eula) Ault, Raymond (Dorothy) Ault, Luther (Dorothy) Ault, Victor (Nova) Ault,

and Ralph (Dorothy) Ault; and two sisters, Mina Ault and Helen Ault.

Wilbur was a member of Breden Memorial United Methodist Church in Terre Haute, and formerly a

member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church east of Newberry. He also held membership in

various associations and fraternal organizations, including the Masonic Lodge.

A remembrance service for the life of Wilbur L. Ault will be held at DeBaun Funeral Homes, 85 E.

Springhill Drive in Terre Haute, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, with Pastor David Deal

officiating and Pastor Greg Puttmann assisting. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park

Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at

Teresa L. Connor, 62, of Terre Haute passed away Friday November 8, 2013 in Union Hospital. She was born May 4, 1951 to Robert Burke and Betty (Gorby) Burke. Survivors include her husband Brian Connor. As per Teresa’s request there will be no services and cremation is scheduled. DeBaun Springhill Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

turner, mary photoMary Lee Turner, 93, passed away at 11:20 pm, Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, IN. Mary Lee was born in Grahams Chapel, WV on October 22, 1920 to Nelson and Cleva McClaugherty. She was the only girl with two older brothers, Bob and Joe, and two younger brothers, Bud and Jack Moore. Mary Lee graduated from Hinton High School in 1939 and married Robert D. Turner (Dan) in October of that year; at the time of his death in 2000 they had been married 60 years. She had two children, Carol and Bob. Once her children were both in school, she worked at Rose Jewelry. She was active in Eastern Star and she and Dan were worthy matron and patron on Princeton Chapter. She was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church and taught the primary children’s class for years. Mary Lee lived in the mountains of West Virginia and was a “Mountaineer” for 84 years. In 2005 she moved to the Wyndmoor in Terre Haute and later VCC in Clinton. She enjoyed being a “Hoosier” and often said, “I have a lot of friends here and know some very special people.”
Mary Lee is survived by a daughter, Carol Turner of Terre Haute and a son, Bob (Susan) Turner of Philadelphia; 2 grandchildren, Beth (Jon) Santilli and Jill (Pavel) Ortinski and 5 great grandchildren, Megan and Allison Santilli and Elliot, Max, and Emma Ortinski. Graveside services for the interment of her cremains will be at a later date in Princeton, WV Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Pisgah United Methodist Church in Princeton, WV. The family deeply appreciates the caring efforts of the VCC Expressions Unit. DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

williams donald photoDonald L. Williams 81 of Lewis, Indiana, went home to be with The Lord on November 15, 2013 at 4:15pm. He went peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born February 27, 1932 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was raised by his grandparents, James and Grace Williams (Mom & Dad) in Lewis, Indiana, who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Blackhawk School in 1950. He served his country for 2 years in the Korean War. He worked for Hulman & Co. of Terre Haute for 10 years. He also drove a school bus for Vigo County for 15 years, but his real love was for farming. He worked the farm for over 50 years. He was also an avid ball player. Playing from the time he was 12 to 65, earning him the title of the Oldest Player.
He married Judy on September 16, 1988 and was married for 25 years. Survivors include his wife Judy; two daughters; Marcia Ugoletti and husband Dennis of Lewis, Indiana and Terri Kay Bercegeay and husband Travis of Pierre Part, Louisiana. Don also has a step-son Ricky Burchett and wife Patty of Martinsville, Indiana. Also a step-daughter Kathy Burchett of Clinton, Indiana and a special step-son Kenny Orebaugh and wife Karen of Paragon, Indiana.
He leaves behind four grandchildren; Donny Ugoletti(Tanya), Josh Ugoletti (Mandy), Joe Streacker (Samantha) and Traci Streacker (Donnie), two step-grandchildren; Steven Cooper and Alan Michael Cooper and 7 great grandchildren.
He is a member of the Union Baptist Church. Don loved all the people in the church, and he thought of the church as his family.
The visitation will be at Union Baptist Church on Harlan Road, Terre Haute, Indiana onMonday November 18 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with funeral services in the church on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Military honors will be provided by Lawton-Byrum Post #972 VFW. Burial will be at the Taylor Cemetery with no graveside services.
Arrangements are by DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr.
